Born 1974 in Scheibbs/Austria, Kaiser is currently living and working in Vienna/Austria.
Acrylic on Canvas.
„The source of my inspiration is often in a twinkle of an eye, everything in life can suddenly pull a 180.“ Kaiser is interested in snap-shots of human life. The leading characters in her pictures are people form her direct surroundings. She likes to portray her family members, friends and sometimes herself. The artist places „contiguousness and intimacy“ in the center of her paintings.
UK tires to capture non recurring moments, glances, certain gestures, mimic, thoughts, sentences, emotions in dialogue – sometimes she does this with a bit of a joke and charm or eroticism.
She tends to work out a plan, to catch people in a private moment and to represent their characters in her own unique style. One defining feature of Kaiser’s pictures is that they play with the aura of intimacy and have a sense of soul.
Before she discovered her passion for painting photography was her preferred medium. This was definitely inspired by her dear friend and well-known Austrian photographer Andreas H. Bitesnich. „A photo releases a picture from my head and generates it onto canvas. However, with photography something was always missing,” says Kaiser. She is fascinated by the constant working process that painting involves. The satisfying, nearly meditative concentration and peaceful energies give her a feeling of completion.
Kaiser’s work is characterized by her unique feeling for composition, shading and color, as well as light and shade effect.
Usually, she uses subdued earth tones ranging from sand and olive to mauve or alizarin. Soft liquid lines flow and play with geometric surfaces creating complimentary and contrasting harmonies.
Her unique color blends lend themselves like puzzle pieces to a greater whole.
Like many facets of the human being: the whole parts reflect the exterior and inside.
„I face myself with each interpretation.“ says Kaiser. Her aim is for the viewer to feel the intensity, sometimes absurdity, of the moment where good and positive tendencies create the healthy melancholy that can arise on a rainy spring day, and end with love and a burst of laughter!
